This paper, co-authored by CSO Dennis Della Corte, explores the critical need for pharmaceutical firms to adopt a fully data-centric perspective to succeed in the digital age. Initiatives that have supported other industries in digital transformation are examined.

In this paper, four key criteria are identified that have enabled labs to reach the post-modern stage:

• Insights generation through advanced analytics
• Automatic communication through machine to machine interfaces,
• Removal of boundaries for an open lab
• Novel means of ensuring trust through automatic submissions.
